The Perfect Vegan Valentine’s Day Ideas & Gifts for 2021

Amidst all the current uncertainty, it can be difficult to see past the doom and gloom. Valentine’s Day, for many a day of joy and love, may seem a bit misplaced this year. But, as Viktor E. Frankl (prominent psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor) once said in his book Man’s Search for Meaning:

““It [does] not really matter what we expect[ ] from life, but rather what life expect[s] from us … Our answer must consist, not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct.””

Instead of waiting to see what life deals out to us in 2021 and soaking in misgivings, we can create our own direction by answering the questions right there in front of us. And when we are able to keep our heads up above the water, we can be a source of stability and inspiration for others.

The Argument for a Vegan Valentine’s Day

In which case, if anyone asks you ‘Are you celebrating Valentine’s Day this year?’ your answer will be ‘Yes!’

Great! And what better way to support someone, yourself, or even your vegan mum, or siblings, than by making this a vegan Valentine’s Day? That way, you can treat your loved one (or yourself) to something that makes you both feel good inside and out.

5. Create a Scrapbook of Your Best Memories

Follow these ideas to make the perfect Valentine’s Day gift for each other

Studies suggest that couples who share nostalgic memories together feel closer and happier. In fact, taking the time to reminisce has been proven to counteract boredom, loneliness, and feelings of anxiety.

Creating a couple’s scrapbook of memories can help us to remember that our lives have roots and continuity, giving us the strength to persevere.

So go put on some tunes – music is also a great way to experience nostalgia – and reminisce about the time you went on that crazy vegan Valentine’s Day retreat or when you went backpacking across Canada.

Trust us, you’ll end up strengthening your sense of affiliation and belonging.

6. Eat Your Heart Out With This Delicious Chocolate

Pre-order your chocolate fix here and pick-up in store at BReD.

Sirene, a chocolatier based in Victoria, BC, carefully sources cocoa beans from cocoa farms growing great tasting beans in an ethical way.

So you can enjoy this chocolate with your loved one, safe in the knowledge that you’ve supported a great company.
